The Woodside Community Garden
We’re thrilled to share that the Woodside Community Garden has officially opened at Woodside Industrial Estate in Dunstable!
What was once an underused corner of land has been transformed into a beautiful outdoor space for everyone to enjoy, working with CC Cousins and Provender Nurseries Limited for supplying the plants . The new garden is now a peaceful retreat where occupiers can take a break, connect with nature, and unwind in the fresh air. We can’t wait to see this space bloom and become a hub for future community events!
A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring this project to life—here’s to many more green spaces!
What is your name and what is your job role?
My name is Mike Church, Community Manager for Woodside Industrial Estate
How long have you worked at Woodside Industrial Estate?
I started on Woodside at the beginning of May 2023 as a Security Coordinator with Wilson James and subsequently transferred to Bellrock at the end of May 2024 in a Community Manager role.
What does your job entail?
The role has many facets to it as not 2 days are the same but essentially, I manage the hub on a very busy Industrial Centre which can involve the tenants as well as the general public, the police, outside agencies, contractors, surveyors, Councils. I am there to offer advice as well as find solutions through the contacts and resources I have available to me. I meet contractors both at the office as part of a process as well as onsite and also the tenants to discuss a range of topics or information they wish to share or discuss. I also identify anything such as defects and pass that information on to the relevant teams to rectify.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
I find the most rewarding part of my job is the interaction with tenants and the community. I get to meet new people and help them with their needs and concerns. I also get to see the positive impact of my work on the community and the estate.

“As a Community Manager, I’m there to greet new tenants on day one and serve as their primary point of contact throughout their stay. I really enjoy building trust with the people that make up our tenant community, by sharing useful information, resolving their issues or making improvements to the overall estate. Pop into our office, drop me a call or send me an e-mail!”
